The USA 1993.5 Esprit SE Model

In 1993, as a run out of the X180 model (and perhaps to feed the market with something in advance of the S4's homologation), Lotus produced a special version of the Esprit SE for the US market only. In total they produced 104 examples of this model that they referred to internally as the "1993.5, P Model Year" cars. Integrating much of the S4's switchgear together with its alloy wheels and door handles, they had their own unique wing taken from the X180R racing cars running very successfully in US circuit racing between 1990 - 1995.
